CLA Czech Republic welcomed participants of the inaugural CLA Global Legal Conference to its offices in Prague’s Karlín district. Lawyers from across Europe and Mexico came together to exchange experiences, discuss the future of legal services, and share insights into the challenges they encounter across different jurisdictions.

“International business becomes much easier when you already know who to call,” said Manuel Buechel during the conference, perfectly capturing the event’s central idea.

Although each country operates within its own legal framework, many of the challenges faced by clients and legal advisers are remarkably similar. The opportunity to share experiences and jointly explore practical solutions proved to be one of the conference’s greatest strengths.

“We discovered that, despite speaking different languages, we are all dealing with the same challenges. By working together, we can address them more effectively and more quickly,” said Robert Musil, Partner at CLA Law and the conference’s lead organiser.

A key part of the programme focused on mutual learning and the exchange of knowledge about different legal systems and markets. “The CLA Global Legal Conference gave me the opportunity to meet colleagues from different countries and gain valuable insights into their legal environments and professional experience,” added Barbora Rojková.

Veronika Nožičková also reflected positively on the event: “It was fantastic to meet colleagues from other jurisdictions and learn—not only during the organised sessions, but also through informal conversations—about how legal services are delivered and how, for instance, employment relationships are terminated in different countries. A day and a half simply wasn’t enough, and I’m already looking forward to the next conference.”
