CLA Czech Republic at the ŠANCE Job Fair

Over 250 visitors and 3rd place in student ratings.

The autumn edition of the ŠANCE Job Fair, organised by the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) Career Centre, took place from 20 to 22 October, offering students and graduates the opportunity to meet representatives from more than 100 companies and institutions across various industries. We were delighted to be part of the event and to make our debut at one of the largest university career fairs in the Czech Republic.

We welcomed more than 250 visitors to our stand and were proud to achieve 3rd place in the student rankings among the exhibiting companies on the day of our participation.

Career opportunities and insights from our colleagues

Our aim was to give students an insight into what working at a professional services firm is really like, introduce them to opportunities for professional development, and showcase the career paths available at CLA.

Colleagues from several of our teams shared their experiences with visitors: Lenka Veselá and Jiří Stoy from Audit, Michaela Kammermayerová from Accounting, Jitka Klausová from Valuation, and Jana Slabá from HR.

Students had the opportunity to learn more about our professionals’ day-to-day work, explore job opportunities, and find out what it is like to start a career at CLA. Some of our colleagues are also recent VŠE graduates themselves, allowing them to share their first-hand experiences of transitioning from university to professional life.

Among the TOP 3 exhibiting companies

Another pleasant surprise was receiving recognition in the competition for the top exhibiting company, with the results determined directly by visitors to the fair.

Students evaluated exhibitors based primarily on the friendliness and helpfulness of company representatives, their overall impression of the visit, and the appearance of the stand. CLA Czech Republic proudly secured 3rd place, just behind Lidl and Kaufland.

What delighted us most, however, was the feedback itself. Visitors particularly appreciated our colleagues’ professional yet friendly approach, their willingness to help, patience, and readiness to answer questions.

For us, this feedback reinforces the importance of a personal approach and open communication – whether we are connecting with students, collaborating as a team, or working with our clients.

A big thank you goes to all the students who stopped by our stand, our colleagues for representing CLA so well, and the VŠE Career Centre for organising such a successful event.

And as one of our colleagues jokingly remarked when she saw the results: “Next time, we need to bring more chocolates!”
